Sarah was born and raised in Portland Oregon. She moved to Eugene to attend college at the University of Oregon. Sarah first became interested in the fire service while finishing her bachelor’s degree in biology and joined the department in 2018 as a firefighter and later an EMT. Sarah initially joined for experience in emergency medicine, but she has developed an appreciation for the fire service and for Lowell and its surrounding communities. Sarah is currently working towards a certification as an EMT-intermediate and has a long-term goal of becoming a physician. In her free time, Sarah loves to rock climb and spend time with her friends and family.
