Johnnie is a Phoenix born Portland native who came to Eugene to pursue a pre-med undergraduate degree in human physiology. Currently finishing his third year at the University of Oregon he is a resident firefighter/EMR with Lowell. Johnnie initially joined the fire service to obtain skills and experience with emergency medicine in order to be a better applicant for medical school, but has grown to love the fire service over his short time with it. Currently, Johnnie plans on pursuing a degree in paramedicine after he finishes his degree in human physiology and would like to pursue a career as a flight paramedic or a physician. Johnnie hopes that continuing to participate in the fire service will allow him to better plan and decide on his future career, but for now plans to stay with Lowell to grow both as an individual and as a firefighter.
